Katie Ann Williams

A dynamic, caring, and patient-focused registered nurse, Katie Ann is excited to bring her clinical skills, knowledge, and experience to nursing students at Cumberland University. A Certified Pediatric Nurse, Katie Ann has been working at Sumner Regional Medical Center since 2018. With the COVID-19 pandemic, Katie Ann has been on the front lines caring for patients. In 2020, she was nominated and recognized as a “Tennessee Hero” by Governor Bill Lee and the Tennessee Department of Intellectual and Development Disabilities for her leadership and dedication to Tennesseans.

Prior to joining the team at SRMC, Katie Ann worked as a Registered Nurse II at Monroe Carell, Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt from 2012 through 2018. In addition to her nursing skills, Katie Ann also holds a bachelor’s degree in hospitality and tourism management from Purdue University. She worked as an event manager with Marriott in Detroit and Chicago prior to returning to school to pursue a second bachelor’s degree. She brings her service background and ability to manage busy and complex situations to her patient focus.
