M. Birol Guger

M. Birol Guger has a diverse work experience in the field of journalism. M. Birol started as a Correspondent Trainee at Cumhuriyet Daily Newspaper in 2009 and later worked as a Correspondent on a volunteer basis at CIU News Agency. During this time, they gained experience in various press activities and also sharpened their photography skills. In 2012, M. Birol Guger worked as a Copywriter and Translator at Lamba Dijital, where they contributed to social media campaigns and creative team projects. M. Birol then worked as an Interview Producer for Programming at Press TV from 2013 to 2018. Additionally, they served as an International Reporter at Tribune 24/7 from 2018 to 2019. In 2013, M. Birol Guger started freelancing as an Investigative Reporter and continued this role until 2022. M. Birol also worked as the Director of Communications at Jemiyet from 2019 to 2020, where they managed a digital club and provided entertainment services to professionals. Currently, they hold the position of Managing Director at Cumhuriyet Daily Newspaper, where they provide strategic guidance to achieve the organization's goals and oversees in-house training activities.

M. Birol Guger earned a Bachelor of Journalism (B.J) degree in Global Journalism from Cyprus International University, attending from 2005 to 2010. In addition, they obtained a certification from IPS Inter Press Service in 2010 for completing the course "From School to the Newsroom - Istanbul."
