Azar Alexander-Sefre

Clinical Trial Manager at Cumulus Neuroscience

Azar Alexander-Sefre has held a variety of roles in the healthcare industry since 2013. In 2013, they completed a student placement at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, shadowing a consultant neurosurgeon. In 2014, they were selected for the Manchester Global Graduates Programme, an exclusive programme for students at The University of Manchester. Azar spent a fully-funded week in London meeting with alumni from a range of business and industry sectors. In 2015, they held two roles simultaneously: Medical and Clinical Trial Information Scientist at ESMS Global LTD and Toxicology Information Scientist at Veterinary Poisons Information Service (VPIS). In 2018, they worked as a Clinical Operations Manager and Clinical Engagement Associate at Medopad. In 2019, they held two roles at Richmond Pharmacology: Study Manager and Patient Recruitment Project Manager. In 2020, they were a Patient Recruitment Manager at Innovative Trials. Azar is currently working as a Clinical Trial Manager at Cumulus Neuroscience, where they are responsible for coordinating the set-up, conduct, and close-out of clinical trials, working together with external partners and clinical staff at sites.

Azar Alexander-Sefre has an extensive education history. From 2010 to 2012, they attended Anglo European School Sixth Form and obtained a High School degree with A Levels. From 2012 to 2015, they attended The University of Manchester and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacology. From 2016 to 2018, they attended King's College London and obtained a Master of Science degree in Clinical Pharmacology. Lastly, from 2022 to 2025, they are currently attending the University of Aberdeen and is pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Health Services Research. Additionally, Azar has obtained several certifications, such as the ABPI Code from The Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry (ABPI) in 2017, the Animal (Scientific Procedures) Act 1986 from The University of Manchester in 2015, the Royal School of Music Classical Singing Grade 8 from ABRSM in 2012, the Practical Driving Test Pass Certificate from the Driving Standards Agency in 2011, the Skills Development and Expedition Programme to Madagascar from World Challenge Expeditions in 2011, the Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award from The Duke of Edinburgh's Award in 2011, the Cecchetti Ballet Grade 6 from Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing in 2010, the Trinity Guildhall Advanced Level Graded Examination in Drama from London Trinity College in 2009, and the Good Clinical Practice (GLP) License from the NIHR Clinical Research Network in 2017.
