Gwen Whitley

Gwen Whitley is President/CEO of Lower Cape Fear LifeCare in Wilmington, NC, a not-for-profit hospice, and palliative care agency that has been in operation for over 40 years. She leads the agency that operates in 11 markets in North and South Carolina and serves over 1100 patients daily. Gwen’s experience in post-acute services for the past 25 years has provided her with expertise in quality and regulatory standards as well as her vast experience in daily operations while serving as past Chief Clinical Officer. She holds national certifications as a Clinical Director, Hospice/Palliative Care Nurse, and Hospice/Palliative Care Administrator.

Gwen is a member of the National Association of Home Care and Hospice (NAHC), the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization (NHPCO), and the Association for Hospice and Home Care (AHHC) where she serves as a Board member and serves on the Executive Committee as Treasurer.
