Alex Thiriez

Head of Merchandising at Curated

Alex Thiriez is the head of merchandising at Curated. Prior to joining Curated, Thiriez was with Confiamigo and LENDSUM. Before that, they worked as a media manager/researcher for BLiNQ Media.

Thiriez began their career as an associate with Morgan Stanley in 2006, where they created and sold derivative products to mitigate the risk exposure of corporations and governments in Latin America arising from cross border debt issuance, operations, and M&A. Alex tripled revenues in 18 months when they led the Mexico derivatives business and managed 30 key clients in Mexico, Brazil and Panama, becoming their first point of contact at the firm. Thiriez also developed 12 new client relationships in in Argentina, Chile, Colombia and Peru, where the firm had no corporate derivatives footprint.

During their time at Morgan Stanley, Thiriez led a $1Bn swap syndication for the Panama Canal (one of the largest of its kind in the region), structured and executed products across FX, interest rate, credit and commodity markets, and created tax-efficient solutions for cross boarder loans and issuances.

Alex Thiriez pursued an MBA at INSEAD, a Masters of Science at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and a Bachelor of Science at Brown University.

Alex Thiriez reports to Eduardo Vivas, CEO & Co-Founder. They work with Stacey Zhou - Head of Finance, Adam Penner - Head of CRM, and Brendan Franich - Head of Legal & HR.
