Evelyn Mbugua

Dr. Evelyn Mbugua serves as the Executive Director of the CURE Children’s Hospital of Kenya, located in Kijabe, Kenya.

Dr. Mbugua comes to CURE with more than 16 years of experience as a clinician, seven of which have been in senior management in a clinical setting. As a physician in internal medicine, she completed her residency at Aga Khan University Hospital in Pakistan. From there, she went to AIC Kijabe Hospital where she served as the head of internal medicine, the Director of Graduate Medical Education, and most recently as the Director of Clinical Services. Dr. Evelyn completed her Bachelor’s degree in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Nairobi, her Master’s degree in Internal Medicine from Aga Khan University, and is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of South Wales.

She is passionate about serving kingdom purposes especially by impacting future generations. She enjoys reading, getting to know people, and hearing their life stories.
