Deok-Ho Kim

Deok-Ho Kim has extensive work experience in the field of medicine and scientific research. Deok-Ho currently holds the position of Professor at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, starting in November 2022. Prior to this role, they founded Curi Bio in 2015 and continues to be involved with the company. From 2019 to 2022, they worked as an Associate Professor at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Before that, they served as both an Assistant Professor and Associate Professor at the University of Washington from 2011 to 2019. Additionally, they worked as a Research Scientist at the Korea Institute of Science and Technology from 2000 to 2005 and as a Visiting Scholar at ETH Zürich from 2003 to 2004.

Deok-Ho Kim received their Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Pohang University of Science and Technology in 1998. Deok-Ho then pursued a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Seoul National University between 1998 and 2000. Later, they attended The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine from 2005 to 2010, where they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Biomedical/Medical Engineering.
