Katharina G. started their work experience in 2014 as a Business Development Intern at CPR Pharma Services Pty Ltd. Katharina then interned as a Research Intern at Admedus Vaccines Pty Limited and as an Intern at BioSA. In 2016, they worked as a Teaching Assistant at Positive Ally and also joined Seattle Sperm Bank as a Biological Analyst. At Seattle Sperm Bank, they held the position until 2018. In 2022, Katharina joined Curi Bio as a Research Associate Intern and later transitioned to the role of Data Science Associate.

Katharina G. completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biology with a major in Physiology and a minor in Bioethics & Humanities at the University of Washington. Katharina attended from 2012 to 2016.

Following their undergraduate studies, Katharina pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Bioinformatics at The Johns Hopkins University. Katharina studied at this institution from 2019 to 2022.

In addition to their academic degrees, Katharina has obtained several certifications. Katharina obtained the Open Water Diver certification from PADI in February 2023. In July 2022, they completed the Executive Data Science Specialization offered by Coursera. Prior to that, in November 2021, they obtained the Cancer Biology Specialization certification, also from Coursera. In December 2018, they acquired the Washington State Boater Education Card from the Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission.

Furthermore, Katharina holds the Protecting Human Research Participants (PHRP) certification from The National Institutes of Health, which they obtained in February 2016. Katharina is also a Notary Public, having obtained this certification from the Washington State Department of Licensing in November 2022. Finally, in September 2017, they obtained the Medical Assistant Phlebotomist Certification from the Washington State Department of Health.
