Project Portfolio Manager at Curida

Pål Bjørlo has extensive work experience in various roles and companies. Pål started their career at BP as a Production Engineer, where they were responsible for laboratory services and monitoring well streams and water injections. Pål then worked at Norsk Hydro as a Production Planner for oil refining, where they optimized the production plant and acted as a production planner in Sweden. Pål later became a Trader of Refined Products at Norsk Hydro and then a Senior Trader of Crude Oil & Condensate, where they traded and marketed Hydro equity crude oil and condensate in the North West European spot market.

After that, Pål joined Statoil and held several positions, including Chief Negotiator for Crude Oil Trading and Supply, Category Manager for Engineering Services, Lead Consultant for Strategy and Supplier Relationship Management, and Procurement Lead for the Hywind Scotland Pilot Park project. In these roles, they were responsible for strategy and business development, contract coordination, analysis and segmentation of suppliers, and evaluating supplier performance.

Following their time at Statoil, Pål worked as a Contract Advisor at Nye Veier AS, and currently, they are working at Curida as a Project Portfolio Manager. In this role, they are responsible for the digitalization of Curida and planning and preparation for procurement and installation of network facilities, office solutions, and client support.

Pål Bjørlo's education history begins in 1982 when they enrolled at Oslo Engineering College. Pål pursued a degree in Analytical Chemistry and completed their Engineer's Degree in 1984. Following this, they attended the University of Stavanger from 1984 to 1986, where they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Petroleum Technology/Technician. In 1986, Pål Bjørlo decided to study at BI Norwegian Business School for two years but did not complete a specific degree or field of study during that time. Finally, from 1988 to 1990, they attended the University of Oslo (UiO) and obtained a Master's degree in Petrochemical/Polymer Chemistry.
