Nam Nguyen

Nam Nguyen has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Starting in 2000, they worked at Endeavors Technology, where they held various roles including Marketing Manager, Technical Support Engineer, and Technical Writer. In 2005, they moved on to Snap-on Tools, where they worked as a Technical Writer, focusing on documenting automobile diagnosis and repair using the company's products.

In 2007, Nam joined Med-Vantage as a Senior Product Manager, responsible for technical and data-related tasks. After four years, they transitioned to IMS Health as a Senior Product Manager, taking on responsibilities such as product roadmap ownership, technical and data requirement definition, strategic planning, and health care data validation and quality management.

Nam's career then led them to Veradigm, where they had a significant tenure. Initially, they held the role of Director of Life Science, Medical Informatics, and Data Science, working on various initiatives such as RWE, Clinical Decision Support, and Clinical Research. They were also involved in data ETL, HIPAA compliance, data de-identification, and onboarding. Later, they were promoted to VP of Life Sciences, Medical Informatics, and Data Science.

Currently, Nam serves as the Vice President of Solutions - Informatics & Data Science at CuriMeta, a health-system-affiliated real-world data platform company. In this position, they contribute to transforming and curating health outcomes data for researchers to solve scientific and medical challenges. They are committed to providing comprehensive insights and evidence for healthcare research and innovation.

Throughout their career, Nam has gained expertise in informatics, data science, medical informatics, technical writing, and product management, making them a valuable asset in any organization.

Nam Nguyen's education history is as follows:

Nam Nguyen completed an Executive MBA in Business Administration and Management, General from Quantic School of Business and Technology in the year 2019. Prior to that, from 2001 to 2004, Nam Nguyen pursued a Master of Science degree in Entomology, Evolution, Biology, Systematics from the University of California, Davis. Nam Nguyen also holds a Master of Science in Environmental Management (MSEM) from the University of San Francisco, which was obtained between 1999 and 2001. In 1995, Nam Nguyen completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Theater from Santa Clara University.

Apart from academic degrees, Nam Nguyen has obtained various certifications. These include being a Certified Spark NLP Healthcare Data Scientist from John Snow Labs in 2021, a Certified Spark NLP Data Scientist from the same institution in 2021, and a CPC certification from AAPC in 2017. Nam Nguyen also completed the HL7 FHIR Fundamentals Course from Health Level Seven International in 2017. Additionally, Nam Nguyen has obtained several Coursera certifications in subjects such as Practical Machine Learning, Regression Models, Healthcare Marketplace, Statistical Inference, Reproducible Research, Exploratory Data Analysis, Getting and Cleaning Data, R Programming, and The Data Scientist's Toolbox, all of which were earned between 2015 and 2017. Nam Nguyen is also a HITRUST Certified De-Identification Professional, certified by HITRUST Alliance LLC in 2016. Furthermore, Nam Nguyen completed a bartending and mixology certificate program at the San Francisco School of Bartending in 2010.
