Jay Thakkar

Jay Thakkar is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in investment banking and private equity. Currently serving as the Managing Director of M&A and Strategy at Curo Pet Care since February 2021, Jay has previously held positions at Platinum Equity as a Senior Associate and Associate, and at Pantheon Ventures as an Associate in Infrastructure & Real Assets. Jay's career commenced at Merrill Lynch, where roles included Investment Banking Analyst and Summer Analyst. Additional experience includes consulting and finance roles at Cover 3, Cappello Capital Corp., and Eastside Community Connection. Jay holds dual degrees in Business Honors and Finance, as well as Plan II Honors from the Texas McCombs School of Business, complemented by early education at Colegio Internacional Puerto La Cruz in Venezuela.
