Monica Sanchez lives with her husband and French Bulldog puppy. In the small town where she grew up, there was only one local physician. Her upbringing made it easy to choose a career in healthcare. She’s cared for patients at family medicine clinics in California, where it became evident that access to specialty care continues to be a challenge for many patients.
