Jose Pettoruti

Jose Pettoruti has significant work experience in the tech industry, with a focus on engineering and leadership roles. Jose is currently working as the Senior Director of Engineering and Head of Engineering at Visa, starting in 2022. Prior to this, they held various positions at Currencycloud, including VP Software Engineering from 2018 to 2022 and Director of Engineering from 2018 to 2021. Jose also worked as a Mentor for Engineering Leadership at Plato starting in 2020. Before that, they held leadership positions at Surfdome.com as the Head of Technology from 2016 to 2018 and at SurfStitch as the Head of Infrastructure in 2016. Jose has also worked at Surfdome.com in roles such as Lead DevOps & Solutions Architect from 2013 to 2016 and Systems Engineer from 2012 to 2013. Jose started their career as a Software Engineer and Systems Engineer at III-LIDI from 2004 to 2012. Jose also has experience as a Teaching Assistant and E-Voting Consultant at UNLP-Universidad Nacional de La Plata and as a Technical Support Agent at Tiosil SRL. Additionally, they have entrepreneurial experience as the Founder and Producer of La Plata Nights.

Jose Pettoruti completed an Executive MBA in Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services at Quantic School of Business and Technology from 2018 to 2019. Prior to that, they obtained a BSc in Computer Science (Licenciado en Informatica) from Universidad Nacional de La Plata, where they also earned a Programming Analyst (Analista Programador Universitario) qualification from 2003 to 2010. Jose Pettoruti completed their high school education at Colegio San Luis from 1998 to 2002. Additionally, they hold certifications in Software Architecture: Domain-Driven Design from LinkedIn and AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate from Amazon Web Services.
