Matt Rowntree has a diverse work experience in the field of communications and marketing. Matt started their career as the Head of PR at Truphone, where they managed internal and external communications, crisis management, and events. Matt later founded their own communications agency, Rounded PR, where they developed and executed communication strategies for clients and conducted social media seminars. Matt also worked as a Group Account Director at Bray Leino Limited, leading brand and marketing campaigns for multinational clients. Matt provided freelance communications services to various businesses and agencies before joining Currencycloud as the Interim Senior Communications Manager and eventually becoming the Head of Communications. Matt also worked as the HE Marketing Manager at Bridgwater & Taunton College, where they launched a new brand and implemented successful marketing campaigns. Additionally, Matt co-founded Mobile Monday Bristol and held a consultant role as the Marketing Manager at Covalent Software Limited. Overall, Matt has a strong background in communications, marketing, and PR with experience across various industries and organizations.
Matt Rowntree attended Nottingham Trent University from 1994 to 1997, where they earned a BA (Hons) degree in International Relations. Matt then attended Bridgwater College from 2014 to 2016 and completed a Level 5 Diploma in Education & Training.
