Piers Marais

Piers Marais has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. Piers is currently working at Visa as the Global Head of Product, Embedded Cross Border Solutions. Prior to this, they held the position of Product Director at Visa. Before joining Visa, Piers worked at Currencycloud as the Chief Product Officer, overseeing product development and strategy. Piers also served as a Product Director at Currencycloud, where they were responsible for managing product initiatives. Additionally, Piers has experience in the payments industry, having worked as a Senior Product Owner and Product Owner at Currencycloud. Earlier in their career, they held the role of Director at CG Residents' Association. Piers started their professional journey as a Product Manager and later transitioned into roles such as Customer Success Manager and Account Manager at Softcom Solutions.

Piers Marais completed their education at The University of Edinburgh from 2005 to 2010, earning a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Spanish & Classics (Latin). During their time at the university, they also participated in an Erasmus program at Universidad de Granada from 2008 to 2009, focusing on Spanish and Latin. Prior to their university education, Piers attended Highgate School from 1992 to 2004.
