Leahanne McCloskey has extensive experience in education, currently serving as a 5th and 6th grade Humanities and English Language Arts teacher at King's Academy Nashville since August 2021. Prior to this, Leahanne has held multiple teaching positions, including 6th grade Math teacher at Currey Ingram Academy since August 2014, and a teacher at New Hope Academy from August 2008 to May 2014, where a teacher-developed curriculum with a classical education approach was utilized. Earlier experience includes teaching in a multi-age classroom for gifted students at Phillippi Shores Elementary School from August 1999 to June 2002, and working as a fourth grade language arts teacher at Dunbar Science and Technology Magnet School for the 1998-1999 school year. Leahanne holds a Master of Arts in Education/Teaching of the Gifted and Talented from the University of South Florida (2000-2002) and a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from King's College (1989-1992).
