Michele John

Michele John is a Resource Economist with extensive experience in sustainability and business development. Since February 2007, Michele serves as the Director of the Sustainable Engineering Group at Curtin University, focusing on the development of sustainability research and education programs that enhance environmental, social, and governance performance. Previously, Michele held the position of Councillor for the City of Joondalup from 2006 to 2009 and worked as the Asia Pacific Business Development Manager at ICI Singapore from 1996 to 1998. Additionally, Michele was the General Manager for Borax Asia Pacific at Rio Tinto from 1988 to 1996. Michele holds a PhD in Resource Economics from The University of Western Australia and a Master of Business Administration from Curtin University.
