Lecturer And Principal Lawyer, John Curtin Law Clinic at Curtin University

Rob Lilley has a diverse work experience in various legal and law enforcement roles. Rob is currently working at Curtin University as a Lecturer and Principal Lawyer at the John Curtin Law Clinic. Rob has also held positions as a Lecturer and Acting Principal Lawyer, as well as a Lecturer and Senior Clinic Supervisor at the same institution. In addition, Rob has worked as a Legal Member at The Mental Health Tribunal and as a Legal Practitioner Director at Leading Edge Legal. Rob has also served as a Principal Mediator at Tough Talks Mediation and as an Adjunct Lecturer at The College of Law Australia. Prior to their legal career, Rob had experience with law enforcement as a Detective Investigator and Police Officer at WA Police.

Rob Lilley attended the University of Otago from 2000 to 2005, where they obtained a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Biochemistry. Rob completed a Professional Certificate in Soft Skills at the Rochester Institute of Technology in 2020. In 2021, they began pursuing a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in Law at Curtin University. Additionally, they obtained a MicroMasters® in International Law from the Université catholique de Louvain in 2021. Rob Lilley has also obtained several certifications including Fellow, Risk and Governance Professional from the Governance Institute of Australia in 2023, Fellow from AIM WA in 2022, PEXA Certified Member from PEXA in 2020, and Professional Member and Nationally Accredited Mediator - PRIMed(NMAS) from Resolution Institute in 2017.
