John Dean

John Dean has extensive work experience in finance and accounting roles. John began their career as an Accounting Project Manager at Crawford & Company in 1991 and served in this role until 1995. John then worked as an Assistant Controller at Surgical Health, Inc. until 1995 when the company was sold. John stayed on through the transition before joining HealthPrime, Inc. as the Director of Financial Reporting. In 2000, John worked as a Controller at MedCareers, Inc., a start-up initiative of parent company JC Nationwide. From 2001 to 2004, they served as the Senior Vice President of Finance at JCN Holdings, Inc. Following this role, they were the VP of Finance/Controller at World Health Alternatives, Inc. until 2006. John then joined Travelogix, Inc. as the VP/Controller from 2006 to 2008. In 2008, they became the Owner of C. John Dean, CPA, where they provided consulting services to a wide array of clients in various industries. John also served as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Althea Group, LLC from 2014 to 2016, overseeing significant growth and acquisitions. Since 2016, John has been working as the Chief Financial Officer at Custard Insurance Adjusters.

John Dean completed their education in Accounting, focusing on both a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Accounting from the University of South Carolina, which they obtained from 1982 to 1986, and a Masters of Accounting degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, which they obtained from 1986 to 1987. Alongside this, they pursued a Masters degree in Accountancy from UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School during the same time period. John Dean also obtained the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification from the state of Georgia in August 1991.
