John Allison

John Allison is the founder of Customer.io, a software company that helps businesses improve customer retention. John has over fifteen years of experience in the software industry, with a focus on web development and engineering.

Allison began their career as a software developer at Acxiom in 2005. John worked on a variety of projects, including the development of new features for the company's flagship product, Acxiom Digital Marketing Suite. In 2008, they left Acxiom to pursue a career in web development.

Allison's first web development project was with IBM, where they worked on the development of the IBM Connections platform. After IBM, they took on a contract with Ruckus Wireless, where they were responsible for building new websites and assisting with redesigns.

In 2009, Allison became the lead developer at GoodCrush, a social networking site for college students. John oversaw the development of the site's features and functionality, and led the team that built the site's mobile app.

In 2010, Allison joined ChallengePost as the head of engineering. John oversaw the development of the site's features and functionality, and led the team that built the site's mobile app. In 2012, they left ChallengePost to start Customer.io.

John Allison studied computer science and math at Ouachita Baptist University, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree.
