Akram Boutros is currently the Director at Cuyahoga Community College. Akram has previously worked as the Coordinator at Cuyahoga Community College from August 2008 to August 2013 and as the Program Manager at Case Western Reserve University from January 2004 to December 2007.
In their current position as Director, Akram oversees the faculty development program at Cuyahoga Community College. Akram has organized and led 45+ college-wide events, such as Convocation with 750 attendees and President’s Reception in Austin, TX for 75 attendees. Additionally, they have built, monitored and maintained two budgets totaling approximately $1 million.
As the Coordinator at Cuyahoga Community College, Akram developed and facilitated an academic year program for new tenure track faculty. Akram also created and launched a website for college-wide full-time faculty and adjunct faculty. Additionally, they initiated and executed a $25,000 mini-grant technology process and was the super user for the learning management system (SumTotal). Akram assumed responsibilities of District Director while on interim assignment and supervised several part-time workers and 20+ volunteers for projects and events. Akram is a graduate of the year-long Mandel Leadership Academy program for future Tri-C leaders and was nominated for participation.
Before their time at Cuyahoga Community College, Akram served as the Program Manager at Case Western Reserve University from January 2004 to December 2007.
Akram Boutros has a BBA from Tiffin University and an Associate's degree in Business from Cuyahoga Community College. Akram also has a certificate in Event Planning from The Schlensky Institute for Event and Meeting Planning.
