Janice Taylor-Heard

Interim President, Westshore Campus at Cuyahoga Community College

Janice Taylor-Heard is the current interim president of the Westshore Campus at Cuyahoga Community College. Prior to this, they served as the director of counseling and psychological services at Cuyahoga Community College from 2007 to 2010. From 2006 to 2007, they were the director of the comprehensive Learning Center at Cleveland State University. And from 2000 to 2005, they were the director of the Office of Multicultural Development and the Division of Access and Retention at The University of Akron. In this role, they provided leadership for the development of an integrated diversity plan for the university and assisted with data collection and analysis regarding campus demographics and benchmarking. Janice also worked with various colleges and administrative units to promote and enhance awareness and appreciation of diversity and multicultural issues. Throughout their career, Janice has been dedicated to helping underrepresented and underserved students retain and graduate from college.

Janice Taylor-Heard has a Ph.D from The University of Georgia and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Kent State University.

Janice Taylor-Heard reports to Alex Johnson, President. They are on a team with Clayton Harris - VP & Dean, Public Safety & Security, Angela Johnson - VP, Access & Completion, and David Kuntz - EVP & Treasurer.
