Georgette Mickens

Georgette Mickens has work experience as a Teacher at Newport News Public Schools from September 2005 to August 2008. Georgette then worked as a Professional School Counselor at Dinwiddie County Public Schools from April 2011 to 2018. From July 2018 to August 2023, they held the position of Assistant Principal at Dinwiddie County Public Schools. Starting from August 2023, they will be working as a School Principal at Charlottesville City Schools.

Georgette Mickens holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish Language and Literature from Christopher Newport University, which they obtained between 2000 and 2004. Georgette then pursued a Master of Education degree in Professional School Counseling Pre-K-12 at Norfolk State University from 2008 to 2010. Later, in 2016 and 2017, they attended Longwood University to earn an endorsement in Educational Leadership and Administration.
