Corey Catten

Chief Technology Officer at CVO Holding Company

Corey Catten is an engineer, innovator, and business leader who is passionate about making life-saving technology. He currently serves as Chief Technology Officer for Connected Vehicle Optimization, where he is responsible for the business strategy and product development.

Prior to joining CVO, Mr. Catten was recruited by Cummins to be CTO and develop the business strategy for their wholly-owned software startup, ZED Connect. ZED Connect placed 50K ELD products in the transportation market within 12 months from opening the doors.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Catten joined inthinc, a driving safety startup company as Chief Technology Officer, and invented driver-mentoring technology that was eventually sold in 40+ countries while growing the company from 15 people to a peak of nearly 1,000. The inthinc technology creates an average 90% reduction of vehicle crashes in a new fleet. inthinc was also active in motorsports safety, and Mr. Catten’s technology was instrumental in the design of the SAFER barrier at NASCAR, among other safety improvements in the sport.

Mr. Catten has received awards for his safety technology from industry groups including the Consumer Technology Association, Society of Petroleum Engineers, Telematics Update, Utah Technology Council, and many more. He is the inventor of record on a dozen patents, a member of several professional organizations, and regularly speaks and publishes in conference proceedings. He holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Utah.
