Niall McGovern

Niall McGovern has a diverse work experience spanning over 15 years. Niall currently holds the position of Group Commercial Director at CWSI since 2021. Prior to this, they were the Head of Commercial at Dixons Carphone from 2018 to 2021, where they were responsible for all commercial and operational aspects of purchasing, supply chain, financial services, and vendor management. Niall also worked as the Senior Insurance & Services Manager at Dixons Carphone from 2015 to 2018, focusing on growing the group's Irish insurance business and improving customer experience. Before joining Dixons Carphone, Niall held the role of Senior Insurance Executive at Aiken & Company, where they managed and grew a commercial and residential property facility. Niall began their career at Liberty Mutual Insurance as a Regional Claims Manager, overseeing the management of property and liability claims. Prior to that, they worked at Quinn Direct Insurance as an Assistant Manager and then as a Team Leader, handling claims and maintaining accurate records.

Niall McGovern has a diverse education background in insurance and financial services. In 2014, they received the Chartered Insurer Accreditation from The Chartered Insurance Institute. Prior to that, from 2012 to 2014, they obtained an Advanced Diploma in Insurance (ACII) from the same institute and a Management Diploma in Insurance (MDI) from The Insurance Institute of Ireland. In 2011, they earned a Diploma in Loss Adjusting (CDIP LA), and in 2010, they attained the Certified Insurance Practitioner (CIP) designation, both from The Insurance Institute of Ireland. Niall also holds a BA (Hons) degree in Business and Marketing from Liverpool John Moores University, which they completed from 1999 to 2003. Additionally, they have achieved the PCF Approved (PCF-17) certification in Financial Services from the Central Bank of Ireland. Niall is also recognized as a Chartered Insurer by the Chartered Insurance Institute.
