We are expanding our team to support our Australian client and are seeking a skilled SMP Work Pack Engineer to join our team.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced SMP Work Pack Engineer to develop and manage construction work packs across Structural, Mechanical, Piping, Electrical, and Instrumentation disciplines. The role involves method statement creation, procurement planning, technical query resolution, and quality assurance to ensure project execution aligns with engineering standards and client specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and update construction work packs, including material take-offs, procurement lists, and welding requirements.
- Create and manage method statements and methodologies for SMP and Electrical scopes.
- Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and standards for planning and procurement.
- Identify, collate, and issue RFIs and technical queries to resolve project challenges.
- Prepare construction test packs, including hydrotesting and service testing documentation.
- Ensure compliance with quality assurance procedures and ISO requirements.
- Collaborate with internal teams to support procurement, execution, and subcontractor coordination.
Skills & Experience
- 6+ years of experience in Engineering and Construction.
- Experience in a multidisciplinary environment (Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Piping, Electrical, Instrumentation).
- Strong understanding of work pack development, procurement processes, and project risk identification.
- Proficiency in Navisworks, AutoCAD (or any 3D modeling software), and MS Office.
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related field).
- Fluent in English with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
