Electrical Design Engineer / Technician – Near Rochester, Kent

What you will do in this Electrical Design Engineer / Technician job
As Electrical Design Engineer, you’ll work closely with the Design Manager and wider technical team to design, analyse, and deliver engineered solutions for the critical infrastructure and utilities related sectors.
Key responsibilities include:
Determining client and project specifications and objectives Performing engineering analysis and calculations Producing CAD drawings using Autodesk Inventor and supporting documentation Liaising with customers and suppliers on technical matters Supporting engineering trials and development testing Providing clear project updates to management Ensuring all designs comply with standards and company procedures What you’ll bring to this Electrical Design Engineer job
This role is ideal for a skilled Electrical Design Engineer of Graduate in an Electrically biased subject who enjoys combining design, analysis, and customer interaction. You will have a strong technical background and the motivation to take ownership of projects from concept through to completion.
You should have:
A Degree, HND or equivalent in a relevant technical discipline Strong knowledge of CAD modelling and drawing (open to all major CAD packages such as Inventor, Solidworks, Solidedge, CREO) Good understanding of electrical principles and material science Excellent problem-solving ability and a creative, hands-on mindset Confidence in liaising with customers and suppliers Your Background
The company is open to various levels of experience for this role. However, you will be focused on the design and development of electrical component and parts used in the company’s equipment. The product is designed for use in harsh environments and must be designed to the highest standard with extensive testing.
You may have experience in engineering with a background in Utilities, Oil & Gas, or Subsea, seeking a stable and growing company to make your mark. Or you could be a recent graduate looking for your first of second role in a company that will help you develop your technical expertise.
