Juan Q. has a diverse work experience in the cybersecurity field. Juan started their career in 2021 as an intern at Blackswan Cybersecurity, where they gained knowledge in open-source intelligence and assisted with compliance audits. Juan also learned about the MITRE ATT&CK framework while shadowing a SOC analyst. Juan then progressed to the role of Security Specialist at the same company, where they monitored client networks through multiple SIEM environments, used Jira as a ticketing system for real-time security incident alerts, and created detailed client reports on network threats and solutions. Juan refined procedures for threat hunting using Lucene queries and developed automated dashboards to enhance workflow detection. In 2023, Juan joined Cybalt as a Security Operations Engineer.
