Maril Vernon is a Principal Application Security Architect at Aquia, a Contributing Writer at CSO Online, the Chief Operating Officer and VP Marketing at Teach Kids Tech, and the Co-Founder of The Cyber Queens. Maril also holds the position of Administrative Officer (Offensive Operations) at Cyber Security Forum Initiative. With a background in cyber security, Maril has previously worked at Zoom, Dark Rhino Security, and EMPLOYERS. Maril is dedicated to promoting diversity in the cybersecurity field and providing technical education to underserved communities through Teach Kids Tech. Maril holds a Bachelor of Arts in Russian and Soviet Studies from UC San Diego, an Associate of Arts in French Language from Grossmont College, and a Master of Science in Cyber Security and Information Assurance from Western Governors University.
