The Staff Accountant will play a crucial role in supporting the financial operations of CyberOne. This position includes a combination of responsibilities related to financial record-keeping, analysis, and reporting. The Staff Accountant will work closely with the accounting team to ensure timely recording of financial transactions, compliance, and the generation of financial reports. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

The position will report to the Controller and is based in our Plano, TX office.

Essential Functions

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records through timely recording of transactions.
  • Perform monthly reconciliations of bank accounts, credit card statements, and other balance sheet accounts.
  • Play a vital role in the month-end and year-end close process.
  • Review and analyze revenue and expense transactions to ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
  • Assist in the reconciliation and remittance of Sales & Use Tax.
  • Review and approve reimbursable expenses and credit card transactions.
  • Support the daily processing of customer invoices and vendor bills.
  • Analyze financial data and provide insights to management for decision-making purposes.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting principles, standards and regulations.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement within the accounting department.
  • Collaborate will cross-functional teams to obtain information and provide financial insights.

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with 2+ years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Tech experience or public accounting background a plus.
  • Experience with MS Office Suite with high level of proficiency in Excel.
  • Experience in NetSuite or middle level ERP package preferred.

Certification and License Requirements

  • CPA Certification or Candidate is a plus
