James Van Ert

James Van Ert began their work experience in 2017 as a Personal Care Assistant at Alliance Health Care. In 2016, they also worked at Jimmy John's where they held the positions of Assistant Team Manager and Service Delivery Specialist. While at Jimmy John's, they implemented strategies to increase efficiency and customer satisfaction and oversaw multiple employees. In 2020, James worked as a Technical Sales Engineer Intern at RuppAir where they communicated with manufacturers and contractors to design HVAC solutions. James also gained experience in interpreting mechanical drawings and schedules. Currently, James is employed as an Automation Controls Engineer at Cybertrol Engineering. In this role, they are responsible for creating solutions to maximize manufacturing performance and implementing automation in manufacturing facilities. James also programs PLC controllers and HMI interfaces for various industrial applications.

James Van Ert completed their high school education from 2013 to 2017 at Lakeville South High School, earning a High School Diploma. Following this, they pursued their bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from 2017 to 2020 at the University of Minnesota, obtaining a Bachelor of Science - BS.
