John Ayers

John A. serves as the Senior Vice President of Professional Services at Cyderes, focusing on Offensive Security. Previously, John held several key roles at Optiv, including Interim CISO, where leadership included oversight of security programs and policies. Additionally, John was responsible for developing Advanced Detection & Response methodologies and leading Managed Detection & Response practices. Previous positions also include executive roles at Reciprocity, Nuspire, Netsurion, and Level 3 Communications, with responsibilities spanning product management, security operations, and risk management. John’s extensive experience is supported by a background in law enforcement, and military service in the US Army National Guard and the US Navy.
