Gil Cohen

Gil Cohen has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of cyber security. Gil is currently serving as the Head of Application Security & Secure-SDLC at CYE, where they lead the application security, secure development lifecycle (SDLC), and DevSecOps initiatives. Prior to this, Gil worked as a Research Director & Application Security SME at CYE, conducting cutting-edge cyber security automation research and tests.

Before joining CYE, Gil served as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Comsec from 2015 to 2018. Gil also co-founded and developed a social e-commerce startup called Combina at Comsola App Labs from 2014 to 2016.

In addition, Gil held leadership roles in the pentesting, training, and research departments at TSG-Q.rity from 2013 to 2015 and Qrity from 2010 to 2015. Gil started their career as an application security consultant at Hacktics from 2007 to 2010.

Gil's early work experience includes serving as an application security consultant in the IDF from 2005 to 2007 and as a .NET programmer in the IDF from 2002 to 2004.

Overall, Gil Cohen has a strong background in application security, penetration testing, research, and development.

Gil Cohen obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Computer Science from The College of Management Academic Studies from 2005 to 2008. Gil also completed a course in Computer Programming at Mamram from 2001 to 2002. Additionally, they received a certification for their Computer Science B.Sc. degree with excellence from The College of Management Academic Studies in Israel.
