Dr Satya Prakash Dash is a technology and strategy leader who has contributed over the last decade to build and nurture a vibrant biotech and medtech innovation ecosystem in India. Currently he is heading the Global AMR R&D hub. He was also founding Head of Strategy, Partnerships & Entrepreneurship Development at BIRAC- the nodal biotech innovation agency in India where he conceptualised, designed & implemented 15 national programs & international partnerships including India’s largest early stage biotech/medtech funding BIG, social innovation program SPARSH/SIIP, incubator program BioNEST, sustainable development (SoCH), equity programs such as BIRAC-SEED & BIRAC AcE and partnerships with Longitude Prize (on AMR) and WISH Foundation (for clinical validation in the field). Cumulatively the programs have funded more than 1500 startups and innovators. He was the Director of Global Innovations at PATH, COO of ABLE (India’s nodal biotech industry organisation) and Consultant to IIM-Bangalore and Nesta UK. He is Member, Board of NCL-Venture Center, Pune- India’s largest S&T innovation incubator. Dr Dash actively advises technology startups from across the world. Dr Dash holds triple masters from the universities of Cambridge UK, Leicester UK and Sambalpur Odisha India and a PhD from University of East Anglia Norwich UK and is a British Chevening Scholar (1998).
