Vinay Shankar

Vinay Shankar has extensive work experience in various roles, primarily in the field of engineering. Vinay started their career at DELPHI AUTOMOTIVE SYSTEMS PVT LTD as a Product Engineer, where they worked on design modifications and conducted test validations. Vinay then moved on to General Electric export India pvt ltd. as a Senior Engineer before joining Caterpillar India Pvt Ltd as an Engineer, where they supervised a team of engineers and performed FEA analysis.

In 2009, Vinay joined AXISCADES Engineering Technologies Limited as a Sr. Manager Validation, mentoring and handling the validation team. Vinay later took on the role of FEA Manager, supporting the Global Caterpillar Business.

At AXISCADES Inc., Vinay held multiple roles, including Engineering Technical Manager and Delivery Head Americas, where they supervised staff and implemented initiatives to support the heavy engineering industry.

Vinay'smost recent position was with Cyient as the Director of Sales, starting in 2023.

Vinay Shankar started their education journey with St. Matthew open high school where they completed their 10th-grade studies from 1981 to 1991. Vinay then went on to pursue their Bachelor of Engineering (B.E) in Mechanical from S.J.M.I.T in Chitradurga, Karnataka from 1995 to 1999. During the same period, they also attended Kuvempu Vishwavidyanilaya, where they obtained their B.E degree in Mechanical as well.

Later, in 2001 and 2002, Vinay Shankar attended the Central Institute Of Tool Design, specializing in MCAD/CAM (CAD/CAM). Vinay also achieved several certifications, including Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (ICGB) from Caterpillar India Pvt Ltd in December 2006 and from GE in January 2006. Moreover, they obtained a Six Sigma certification from GE and Caterpillar in September 2005.
