Simon Fung

Simon Fung, MBA, PMP, CSM has a diverse work experience spanning a range of industries and roles. Simon started their career in 2003 with the Canada Revenue Agency, where they worked as a Program and Software Technical Support. In 2004, they moved to Best Buy Canada/Future Shop as an Enterprise Support Analyst. Shortly after, in 2005, they joined the Certified General Accountants (CGA) Association of Canada as a VBA Developer/Business Analyst. Simon then transitioned to ResponseTek Networks Corp, where they held roles as a Configuration Engineer and later as a Lead Project Manager from 2005 to 2014.

In 2014, Simon joined Electronic Arts (EA) as a Program Manager before moving to Cymax Group in 2015, where they have held various positions. Simon began as a Senior Project Manager, responsible for strategic and operational leadership for the product management and project management teams. During their tenure, they oversaw the successful launch of two new SaaS eCommerce platforms and implemented Agile methodology and tools across the company. Simon also defined and implemented a strategic management framework and enforced process compliance and accountability. Simon facilitated cross-functional business initiatives and prioritization and fostered a culture of documentation and knowledge sharing within the development teams.

In 2017, Simon was promoted to Director of Business Operations at Cymax Group, where they continued to contribute to the company's overall success. In 2020, they took on the role of Director of Financial Planning & Analysis and Strategic Projects before assuming their current position as Director of Technology Strategy and Programs in May 2021.

Simon Fung holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Leadership & Strategy from Queen's University, which they obtained in 2011. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Business Administration & Computing Science from Simon Fraser University in 2004.

In addition to their educational background, Simon has obtained several certifications. These include being a Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator Associate, a Microsoft Certified Azure AI Fundamentals professional, and a Microsoft Certified Azure Fundamentals professional. Simon is also a Certified ScrumMaster and holds a Certificate in Socially Responsible Leadership from the Queen's School of Business. Furthermore, they are a Project Management Professional (PMP).

Simon has also obtained various Microsoft certifications, such as Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA) - Microsoft SQL Server 2000, Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) - Windows Server 2000 & 2003, and Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) - Windows Server 2000 & 2003.
