Abhinav Kunapareddy

Abhinav Kunapareddy is a seasoned professional in robotics and motion planning, currently serving as a Technical Lead Manager for Planning at Cyngn since January 2023. Prior to this role, Abhinav worked as a Sr Path Planning Engineer at Autel Robotics from July 2021 to December 2022, and as a Sr Robotics Researcher at ROBOTWITS LLC, where focus was on motion planning and decision making for self-driving vehicles. Earlier experience includes a Robotics Engineer position at Drivebox Automation and a Research Project Assistant role at Johns Hopkins University, where Abhinav contributed to the development of an Optimal MPC control strategy for under-actuated Unmanned Surface Vehicles. Educational background includes a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Robotics from The Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras.
