Ambra Milani

Ambra Milani has a diverse work experience in various scientific roles. Ambra started their career in 2009 as an Early Stage Researcher at the National Oceanography Centre. During this time, they worked on the development of an in-situ microfluidic system for the determination of dissolved Fe(II) and Mn in natural waters as part of the SENSEnet project.

Afterwards, Ambra joined Fondation Nicolas Hulot in 2014 as a Pole Scientifique et Technique. Ambra then moved on to work as a Postdoctoral Researcher at CEAB - Centro de Estudios Avanzados de Blanes in 2015.

Most recently, Ambra co-founded Cynomys in 2017, where they hold the position of IDO & Co-founder.

Ambra Milani has a strong educational background with a focus on sensors, ocean engineering, biogeochemistry, environmental science, and biological science. Ambra obtained their Ph.D. in Sensors, Ocean Engineering, and Biogeochemistry from NOCS in the UK, from 2009 to 2014. Prior to that, they completed their Master of Science (MS) in Environmental Science at Università degli Studi di Genova from 2006 to 2009. Ambra also holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Biological Science, which they obtained from the same university from 2003 to 2006.

In addition to their academic achievements, Ambra has acquired a certification in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) from the TEFL Institute in September 2012.
