Henry Lombrana has a diverse work experience in various roles and organizations. Henry began their career at Harris County Attorney Children's Protective Services as an Administrative Clerk in 1996. From 1997 to 2001, they worked at GCCSA Head Start as an In-Kind Coordinator, where they managed the in-kind program and represented the agency at community events.

In 2001, they joined AVANCE Houston as an In-Kind Specialist, where they exceeded the annual donation requirement and managed the volunteer program. From 2004 to 2008, they worked at Neighborhood Centers as a Center Manager, overseeing Head Start and Early Head Start programs, maintaining regulatory compliance, and forming partnerships with schools and businesses.

Henry then returned to AVANCE Houston as a Center Administrator from 2008 to 2012, where they managed all aspects of the local Head Start program and successfully increased volunteer participation and donations.

From 2013 to 2014, they worked at MD Anderson Cancer Center as a Secretary for the Social Work Department, handling general secretarial and office work, including answering calls, greeting visitors, and document management.

Since 2015, they have been an Independent Sales Agent for AFLAC, providing insurance services. Henry also joined Cypress Assistance Ministries in 2015 as the Director of the Food Pantry.

Overall, Henry Lombrana has gained extensive experience in program management, community engagement, and administrative roles throughout their career.

Henry Lombrana has a diverse education history. Henry obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix, where they studied from 2010 to 2015. Before that, they attended New Mexico Junior College from 1983 to 1987, earning an AA degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies. In 1982, they participated in the HS Rotary Exchange program as an exchange student in Brazil, although they did not earn a degree during this experience. Henry Lombrana completed their high school education at Hobbs High School from 1979 to 1982, where they received a Diploma in General Studies.

Cypress Assistance Ministries

Cypress Assistance Ministries (CAM) serves individuals and families in crisis by providing: financial assistance, primarily with past-due rent and utilities; food via a Food Pantry; home delivery of food for senior citizens and people with mobility issues; employment services including resume preparation and distribution of job leads; adult education that includes year-round GED classes and multiple levels of ESL classes; and seasonal programs at back-to-school time, Christmas, Easter, and Thanksgiving. In faith and partnership with the community, CAM turns stumbling blocks into stepping stones by making resources available to individuals and families facing adversity. Our goal is to offer that needed helping hand that steers each person back toward self-sufficiency. Hard times can arise through many different circumstances such as an unexpected job loss, an illness, a divorce, and as we’ve now experienced, during a pandemic. That's when CAM steps in by providing that critical assistance, helping families stay in their homes, helping other find permanent employment, and educating others who are experiencing language barriers and/or education barriers. With over 30 years of serving northwest Harris County, CAM continues to be a mainstay in the community, committed to helping our neighbors in need.
