Deepak Gupta has been in the tech industry since 1990, when they began their career as a Member of Technical Staff at Tata Consultancy Services. In 1996, they joined Lucent Technologies as a Member of Technical Staff. From 1995 to 2005, they were an Associate Professor at Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, where they taught undergraduate and graduate level courses and guided several students towards their Masters' degree theses and one towards their PhD thesis. In 2005, they joined AirTight Networks as a Principal Architect and Visiting Research Scientist (on leave from IIT Kanpur). From 2011 to 2018, they worked at Mojo Networks, Inc. as Chief Architect, where they were responsible for overall design of all Mojo products and cloud services and made contributions such as algorithm design and implementation for robust detection of WiFi MAC spoofing and DoS attacks. In 2018, they joined Arista Networks as a Software Engineer, Director Software Engineering, and Technical Leader. In this role, they lead the WiFi cloud software team and worked on autonomous testing frameworks for the Arista WiFi products. Most recently, Deepak Gupta has been working as Chief Software Architect and Member Of Parliament at Cyral since 2020.
Deepak Gupta's education history began in 1979 when they attended Hans Raj Model School and completed their Class XII in Science in 1986. Deepak then went on to pursue a B.Tech. in Computer Science & Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, completing their degree in 1990. Deepak continued their studies at the same institution, earning their PhD in Computer Science & Engineering in 1995.
