James Martin has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. James currently works at AXA as the Global Enterprise Director - Head of Brokers, where they are responsible for engaging with key distribution partners and developing strategic alignment frameworks. James previously held leadership positions at AXA XL, a division of AXA, including SVP, Head of Client Management & Business Development, Americas Region and Global Client Management Leader. In addition, James has served as a Non Executive Director at CyStellar, Chair of the Risk Committee at Rays of Sunshine Children's Charity, and a Member of the Client Working Group at London Market Group. James also has a strong background in charity work, having served as Chair of the UK & Ireland Charity and CSR Committee at AXA, a Trustee at Variety, the Children's Charity, and a Partner & Mentor at Startupbootcamp. Prior to their roles at AXA, James worked at Marsh as a Placement Leader and Placement Broker.

James attended Merchant Taylors' School from 1988 to 1994, where they did not obtain a degree or specialize in a specific field of study. Following this, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Birmingham, from 1994 to 1997. Later on, they obtained a Professional Qualification in Insurance, ACII, from an unspecified institution between 1997 and 1999. Additionally, in January 2000, they acquired the certification of Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute from the Chartered Insurance Institute.
