Enrique Lin Shiao, Ph.D. has a diverse and impressive work experience. Enrique currently holds the position of Principal in Venture Investments at the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, where they previously served as a Senior Associate in Venture Investments. Enrique is also a Board Observer at Nosis Bio and Nanite. Additionally, Enrique is a Commissioner for the Austin/Travis County Public Health Commission at the City of Austin. In the past, they worked as an Associate in Asset Acquisitions at BridgeBio and as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of California, Berkeley, in the Nobel Prize-winning lab of Prof. Jennifer A. Doudna. Enrique co-founded and produced Caminos en Ciencia and served as the Co-Lead of the SARS-CoV-2 Diagnostics Laboratory at the Innovative Genomics Institute. Enrique began their career as a Graduate Research Associate in the lab of Prof. Shelley L. Berger at the University of Pennsylvania. Furthermore, Enrique has entrepreneurial experience, having co-founded and served as CEO of Amsterdam Fluidics LLC.

Enrique Lin Shiao, Ph.D. earned their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Engineering Physics from the Technical University of Munich in 2011. Enrique then pursued a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Biophysics from the same institution, completing it in 2013. That same year, they also studied Molecular Biophysics at the University of Dundee.

Enrique continued their education at the University of Pennsylvania, where they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry in 2019. Additionally, they obtained a Public Health Certificate from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine in the same year.

Enrique has also obtained various certifications, including the Stanford Directors College from the Stanford Law School in 2023.
