Karim Hajjar

Karim Hajjar is currently the Group Chief Financial Officer at Solvay. Prior to this role, Karim served as Director of Finance & Planning at Imperial Tobacco and Managing Director at Tarmac Group. At Tarmac, their focus was on right-sizing and driving structural cost reductions, as well as streamlining the company's portfolio. Additionally, Karim worked as the Group CFO at Tarmac Group, helping to drive sustainable performance and prepare the business for sale. Before that, Karim was the Deputy CFO of the Chemicals Group at Shell, where Karim introduced capital rationing and raised significant financing for a petrochemical project in China. Karim holds a BSc Hons in Economics from City, University of London.
