Andreas Freitag

Director & Research Principal at Cytel

Andreas Freitag started working at Queen Mary University of London in 2013 as a Research Assistant. In 2015, they joined the National Guideline Centre as a Research Fellow and later became a Senior Research Fellow. In 2016, they worked as an External Tutor at Queen Mary University of London. In 2017, Andreas joined Evidera as a Research Associate III and eventually became a Senior Research Associate. In 2020, they became a Research Scientist at Evidera. Currently, Andreas is working at Cytel as an Associate Director & Research Principal. In this role, they lead evidence synthesis projects, manages a team, drives business development, and contributes to scientific and methodological strategies.

Andreas Freitag completed their education in the field of medicine. Andreas began their education in 2006 at the Medical University of Vienna, where they pursued a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree for the duration of six years, graduating in 2012. In 2011, they also participated in an Erasmus program at Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin, focusing on medicine. Following their medical education, Andreas pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Health Systems and Global Policy at Queen Mary University of London from 2012 to 2013. Additionally, in July 2013, they obtained the GMC registration certification from the General Medical Council.
