Jiayue (Edith) Yu has a diverse range of work experience. Jiayue (Edith) started as a Research Associate at Cytel, where they performed literature reviews, conducted data extraction, and handled data transformation and conversion. Jiayue (Edith) then worked as a Data Analyst (Consultant) at the University of California, San Francisco, where they published two articles, converted and cleaned data files, conducted descriptive analyses and statistical models, and generated summary reports. Additionally, they worked as a Data Analyst at the Factor-Inwentash Faculty of Social Work, University of Toronto, and as a Biostatistician at ICES, where they explored the impact of COVID-19 on health services utilization among cancer patients using statistical methods in SAS and R. Jiayue (Edith) also worked as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Toronto, assisting students with course contents and assignments.

Jiayue (Edith) Yu completed their Bachelor's Degree (Hons.) in Nutritional Sciences & Physiology from the University of Toronto, which took place from 2016 to 2020. Following this, they pursued a Master's Degree in Biostatistics at the Dalla Lana School of Public Health, University of Toronto, which they obtained between 2020 and 2021.
