Raymond Lee

Health Economist at Cytel

Raymond Lee has a strong background in health economics and research. Raymond currently works as a Health Economist at Cytel, starting in February 2021. Prior to this, they held the role of Senior Analyst - Health Economics at Alberta Health Services from July 2019 to February 2021.

Raymond also has experience at the University of Calgary, where they served as a Research Assistant from September 2018 to August 2019 and as a Graduate Student from September 2016 to September 2018. In their graduate role, they conducted an economic evaluation of body checking policies in Bantam ice hockey and worked on identifying changes in cost and injury rates in youth. Raymond was awarded the Svare Professorship Health Economics Trainee Program Award for their potential to create policy-relevant research.

Additionally, Raymond worked as an Undergraduate Summer Studentship at the Alberta Children's Hospital Research Institute in 2016 and as a Research Assistant at Kingston General Hospital from June 2014 to June 2015. In the latter role, they assisted in data cleaning, quantitative analysis, and data preparation, effectively managed data quality, met multiple manuscript deadlines, and presented research findings at a professional conference.

Raymond Lee completed their Bachelor's Degree in Kinesiology and Exercise Science from Queen's University, where they studied from 2009 to 2014. Raymond then pursued a Master's degree in Health Economics at the University of Calgary from 2016 to 2018. Additionally, they obtained certifications in SAS software basic functions and running quantitative analysis in October 2014 from SAS, and in the Tri-Council Policy Statement: Ethical Conduct for Research Involving Humans in October 2013 from the Government of Canada.
