Sohini Mahapatra

Sohini Mahapatra, Ph.D. is a Principal Health Economist at MITRE since June 2021, previously serving as Lead Health Economist. Prior to this role, Sohini worked at The Brattle Group from September 2017 to May 2021 as a Senior Associate, providing economic analysis support for expert witnesses in healthcare litigation cases. Sohini's career also includes a position as a Research Assistant at The Johns Hopkins University from 2011 to 2017, where responsibilities included managing a team to create structured datasets for applied microeconomic analysis, and serving as a Teaching Assistant for various economics courses. Earlier experience includes working as an Actuarial Analyst and Assistant at Liberty Mutual Insurance from 2009 to 2011, focusing on reserve determination and actuarial exam preparation. Sohini holds a Ph.D. in Economics from The Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Mathematics from the University of Michigan.
