Bernard Goethals

Bernard Goethals has a strong background in operations and general management. Bernard currently serves as the Director Operations - Site Lead at Cytiva. Prior to this role, they held various positions at Flowsource from 2015 to 2022, including Operations and General Management. From 2018 to 2021, they worked at VIANGRO SA, first as the Group CEO and then as the COO. Bernard also gained experience as a Transformation Manager at Continental Bakeries in 2018 and as a Plant Manager at Ter Beke from 2016 to 2017. Bernard was the Director of Operations at IZICO from 2012 to 2015, where they were responsible for purchase, supply chain, manufacturing, quality, and sustainability. Before that, they had a Director Operations role at Favory CFG from 2007 to 2012 and Wessanen Nederland from 2001 to 2007. Bernard started their professional career at Pieters Marine Harvest, where they held several international functions from 1994 to 2001.

Bernard Goethals completed their Master's degree in Business Economics from Odisee between 1986 and 1991. Bernard later pursued additional studies in Digital Strategy, Lean Operations, and Project Management at Vlerick Business School.
