Brian Panama

Research Scientist at Cytocybernetics

Brian Panama is a research scientist with extensive experience in cardiovascular research, currently working at Cytocybernetics since February 2017. Previously, Brian served as a research scientist at Masonic Medical Research Laboratory, where contributions included developing a surgical rodent model of obstructive sleep apnea and characterizing electrophysiological changes in a canine heart failure model. Prior positions included postdoctoral fellowships at the University of Toronto and the University of Michigan Medical School, focused on cardiac alterations related to cytokine pathways and potassium channels. Brian holds a PhD in Molecular and Integrative Physiology from the University of Michigan Medical School, complemented by an MSc in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and a BSc in Biochemistry from the University of California, Riverside. Educational background also includes a diploma from Palm Desert High School.
