Vivek Parthasarathy

Vivek Parthasarathy is a Senior Research Associate in Biology Technologies at Cytokinetics since August 2023, previously serving as a Discovery Engineer II at Neurona Therapeutics from August 2021 to February 2023. Prior to that, Vivek held roles as a Biosystems Engineer in R&D and a Biosystems Engineer at Koniku from March 2020 to November 2019. Academic experience includes a Graduate Research Assistant position at the University of California, San Diego, where Vivek contributed under the supervision of Dr. Shankar Subramaniam and passed the department PhD qualifying exam in July 2014. Additional experience includes a Teaching Assistant role in Graduate Cell & Molecular Biology, awarded the Teaching Assistance Excellence award, and an internship at Strand Life Sciences. Education encompasses a Master of Science in Bioengineering from UC San Diego and a Bachelor of Technology in Biotechnology with a minor in Materials Technology from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras.
